Reverend Dick Houston

Dick is the senior campus minister having served at Georgia State University since the Fall of 1972. As senior campus minister he is responsible for the administrative oversight of the staff, programming, and operations. He teaches, designs materials, and does counseling.

Before coming to Georgia State University he had been a pastor, Dean of Men at Georgia Southwestern where he held the academic rank of Assistant Professor of Psychology, a Fellow in the Institute for Higher Education, and campus minister at the University of Georgia. He holds a BA in Psychology and Philosophy, Med. in Psychology and counseling, Mdiv. with emphasis in missions and New Testament and a Graduate specialist degree in Educational Administration and Higher Education. He has done additional study in mechanical engineering and video production.

His favorite Bible verse is: "I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me faithful, appointing me to his service."--Timothy 1:12


Teresa Bell

Teresa Bell has worked with the Baptist Student Union at Georgia State University in Atlanta from 1980-87 and from 1992 -present. She has a Bachelor of Social Work Degree from North Georgia College and a Masters of Education Degree in Counseling from Georgia State University.

Her areas of specialty are counseling, leadership development, and group work. She particularly enjoys leading Bible Study groups, working with International students, and developing relationships with students.

She has been married for 13 years to Robert and they have one son Stuart who is 8.

Her favorite Bible verse is: "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us."--Ephesians 3:20
