Feedback

OAASS&P strives for excellence in academics and degree attainment by providing a number of services and programs for the Georgia State community.

GSU Minority Advising Program (MAP)

MAP is a student focused, service support initiative developed and hosted by OAASS&P. It provides one-to-one support components that afford students the opportunity to utilize invaluable personal and professional assets as they advance through Georgia State. Whether through individual contact or group meetings, the experiences gained can be carried over to further enhance one's academic and professional success at all levels of higher educational advancement.

Tutorial / Computer Lab

An area is designated for students to prepare resumes, research papers, homework assignments, and search for information on the Internet. It is also designed for students to study quietly for an exam or reading assignment.

Recruitment and Retention

Active participation by the OAASS&P occurs in services and programs which recruit and promote the retention of African American students, faculty, and staff. It includes advising referrals for these groups.

Resource Center / Library

Cultural and educational books, videotapes, and reference materials are available to students. Library books may be checked out with proper student ID. Videotapes and reference materials may be viewed in the office.
